Hey Eugene here, here's a little about me - I've been a counsellor for four years; I currently live outside of Clevedon, Auckland, on a horse ranch. I'm a husband who enjoys bush walks, riding horses, having fun with friends and family and cooking. My approach to therapy is relationship-focused, meaning I prioritise building my clients' and my relationship. Human beings are hurt in relationship; therefore, we are also healed in relationship. When we feel safe with someone, we are more likely to be vulnerable, which is important because vulnerability is the key to psychological healing. Being a full member of the NZCCA, you can trust that my work will be safe and ethical. I'm currently providing online therapy across New Zealand.

Feedback from a past client

"Eugene is a conscientious and empathetic counsellor who is able to strike a thoughtful balance between guiding a client through tough moments and letting the client take the lead on their healing journey. He is reassuring and empowering, without being overzealous. I have gained a tremendous amount of insight and growth from my sessions with Eugene and wouldn't hesitate to book him again."

Feedback from a current client

"I have been working with Eugene for a little over one year, and it's been transformative.  My life has changed, and I can take control again. I can now pursue my passion, and I have the tools to rebuild my life. I appreciate the support Eugene has given me. He is compassionate and very educational, helping me understand myself and build a better life. I would recommend Eugene to anyone; he creates a positive, safe space and is very professional. Happy to say I am now working on getting off of ACC Sensitive Claims and getting back to life, so proud of the therapy work I did with Eugene."
